Stepping out of the tube from Piccadilly to South Kensington, you suddenly feel like you’re in a different city but in reality you haven’t even left zone 1. It’s not hard to imagine why forte_forte chose to nest in this new neighborhood, rubbing shoulders with its neighboring boutiques in real estate heaven. You can spot the brick through the glass windows from down the block and feel the forte_forte world as soon as you walk in.
The inside not only reflects the clothing but showcases it. While we were shooting countless people stopped to look in the window and continued into the store to shop. Even after the boutique had closed for the evening, multiple passerby’s knocked on the door to see if they could come in after leaning into to look through the glass.
You could feel how serene the space was meant to be. It echoed the classic forte_forte feel while making the space feel extremely calm and modern. The central chaise enforced this idea leading us to take a brief power rest while continuing to shoot the clothing draped across the lounge. The best thing about resting on a chaise is that it gives you full artistic license to be as dramatic as possible.
Traveling back past the fittings rooms, we came to an open brick garden which provided the perfect backdrop for the second portion of us shooting during the early evening. Everything about the store continued to encapsulate the essence of forte_forte in transforming its new London home.

This season at Palais de Tokyo, the acclaimed French artist —Franck Scurti— has unknowingly created the dream scenario for Beyond The Mag: gradient-colored staircase beaming under the Parisian soon-to-be spring light. An uber convenient lounging spot in between shows with perfectly coordinated forte_forte SS19 airy and multi-colored garments.
This collection has continued to allow for self-expression and elevated style whether through layering or simply adding a fun accessory to go with a piece. Styling three trench coats on top of one another was as fun as jumping around and relaxing on Scurti’s piece —if only it were possible to stay in this rainbow world forever…
But alas, the show(s) must go on —quite literally— and Palais de Chaillot was the next meeting point. After being situated in the prime streetsyle and photo op, it seemed like a better idea to camouflage amongst the gilded statues with a golden forte_forte suit myself.

LA FEMME PRADA
"As an olfactory chimera, La Femme Prada is an invitation to emotion. Straying from fragrance’s more familiar routes, a sultry journey is evoked by its frangipani wake. This solar note, a hyper-sensual floral, evokes the dewy humidity associated with the faraway flower. The note is interwoven with ylang-ylang, its spice made smooth with beeswax, vanilla and tuberose. A distilled vetiver finishes the fragrance, grounding and rounding its feel."
"L’Homme Prada is a fragrance of pairs, of doubles, of juxtapositions and layers. The classic codes of the male fougère are all present in neroli, geranium and patchouli. Yet the interchangeable male/female prada signatures are present, too, in the shape of iris and amber, the principal elements. It is a mix that is both airy and yet purposefully, highly sensual."
AN EDITORIAL COLLABORATION
Featuring pieces from the Fall 2015 Ready-To-Wear Collection
At the very mention of CHANEL to just about anyone, I’ve noticed three consecutive reflexes: eyes grow wide, body language confirms familiarity and declarations are made, usually involving the word, “love.” Chanel's name alone evokes an image of classicism, romanticism, independence, and timelessness. It evokes devotion, it evokes love.
Allow me to follow suit, because I am no exception. I love Chanel. I mean, really love. It commands my undivided attention.
So, after years of watching every Coco & Karl documentary I could get my hands on; admiring each ready-to-wear, resort and couture collection via youtube; and essentially becoming a walking "Chanelopedia," one can only imagine how wide MY eyes grew when an opportunity to creative direct and style an editorial shoot with Chanel came to fruition. For me, this was the ultimate. An accolade so high on my life's resume, it couldn't be topped.

Still Life Collaboration with Kim Keever
It has been made quite clear over the past few fashion seasons that along with every new collection comes some form of extreme (unfavorable) weather. This time around it was a rainy and gloomy Paris what made us seek a Spring escape -even if it meant sheltering altogether from the outside world.
forte_forte made this all much easier with their dreamy spring/summer '18 collection; smooth silks and airy linens made us forget about the unwelcoming weather and keeps allowing us to find the best kept hidden location throughout the City of Lights.

INTERIORS: MAISON MARGIELA BOUTIQUE
803 Greenwich St, New York City
Entry upon a Maison Margiela boutique anywhere in the world is an atmospheric, sensory experience all on its own. Prior to reaching eagerly for runway look number 7 for example, I cannot help but notice subtle injections of House codes and mathematical beauty from every angle. My visual exploration of MM's Greenwich Street boutique interiors, nestled seamlessly into the heart of NYC's West Village, was both fascinating and fantastical. The amount of disproportionate satisfaction I derive from compositional discovery, perfection, and capture is no secret, so let's just say I was well fed in this House....
