Pick up the phone. But the moment you hang up, head straight to your nearest airport and catch the next flight direct to Milan. Do not Pass Go, do not collect $200.
Trust me- it'll be worth it. Miuccia Prada is always worth it.
An unforgettable weekend in June seemingly materialized out of thin air when I was invited to join the iconic Italian fashion brand in celebrating their first ever joint fragrance launch. Such an occasion calls for an international gathering in Prada's headquartered home town, Milan, or more specifically, home Foundation. The Fondazione Prada.
What followed was a culmination of perfectly Prada-fied events: all spectacular in execution, yet surprisingly casual. A custom large-scale installation revealed symmetrically designed bottles of La Femme Prada & L'Homme Prada fragrances, cocktails and private dinner hosted by Miuccia Prada & Patrizio Bertelli in the Fondazione's cinematic Bar Luce (designed by film actor, Wes Anderson) and sprawling main gallery space, a visit to the House's original checked floor boutique, and private, comprehensive tour of Fondazione's facilities and art exhibitions.
